Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded during the 15th century in the Punjab region, by Guru Nanak Dev which continued to progress with ten successive Sikh gurus, the last teaching being the holy scripture Shri Guru Granth Sahib. It is the fifth-largest organized religion in the world, with approximately 30 million Sikhs. This system of religious philosophy and expression has been traditionally known as the Gurmat . Punjab, India is the only region in the world with a majority Sikh population.

Dayton Gurdwara History

Beginning 1984 the Dayton Gurdwara Sahib was establish with very few families in the Beavercreek area. As the sangat grew larger and larger there was a need for expansion of the guru ghar which lead to the movement to the Harshman location. Currently there are 200 families whom are part of the congregation of the Dayton Gurdwara Sahib. We are close knit family of Sikhs and welcome any and all whom wish to join.
